Ginger Peppard (she/her), B.S., 200-RYT

Ginger started her exploration of yoga 20+ years ago as a student of Kimberlee Orenstein’s while enrolled at the University of Nevada – Reno (B.S. Environmental & Natural Resource Science) and is a graduate of Kim’s 200-Hr RYT Training (Yoga Loka, 2020), as well as advanced trainings in Yin Yoga (with Bernie Clark and Diane Batts), Yoga for All © (with Dianne Bondy and Amber Karnes) and Trauma Informed/Lotus Method Yoga (with the Urban Lotus Project). Additionally, she has studied meditation and women’s energy at the Reno Psychic Institute, has facilitated self-esteem and personal/professional development programs for women (Creating Choices©) and is registered as an Accessible Yoga Ambassador with the Accessible Yoga Association. Ginger teaches gentle hatha-style yoga that focuses on functional alignment and stability, yin yoga and accessible yoga through the use of props and modifications. Her classes are often themed and involve a balance of pranayama, asana and meditation and are designed to encourage students to find balance and compassion within and with their bodies.

As a plus-sized yoga teacher, she truly believes that yoga is for every-BODY and welcomes all people because of their diverse level of yoga experience, body type, age, race, disability, gender identify, race, sexual orientation or religion/belief system.

Join Ginger for her weekly Yin Yoga class, contact her to schedule private or small group class and keep your eyes peeled for special Yoga For All © workshops. In a body positive environment, building on Ginger’s personal experience as a plus-sized yoga student and teacher, the Yoga For All © framework, and focusing on trauma informed teaching methodologies, these workshops will focus on offering students in larger bodies, older students or those with physical limitations a place to learn and practice the skills needed to make poses safe and accessible. The goal of these workshops is to provide students the skills and knowledge to feel confident within and with their bodies and to give them the knowledge to feel confident using props or alternative modifications, whether doing yoga at home or going to studio classes.
